Marble Falls is a quaint little town nestled in the heart of The Texas Hill Country.
Located only an hour from the Austin or San Antonio International Airports, Marble Falls sits just West of Austin and North of San Antonio, Texas.
The town was born when Adam Rankin Johnson facilitated the construction of a railroad to Granite Mountain in 1884. The Marble Falls townsite was platted and land sales began In 1887. Johnson also built a home, a college, and a factory near the falls.
In 1917 the town elected the first woman mayor of Texas by an all-male vote years before women were even allowed to vote.
Beginning in the 1980s the town has grown into the retail and entertainment center for the Highland Lakes area. It's a very active and friendly community boasting lakes, live music, art galleries, resorts, golf courses, lake and outdoor recreational activities, restaurants, live theatre. brew pubs, and wineries. That's only where the adventure begins.
